OSNews has in it's own way the power to put mostly some oppinions. The good thing is that is as a blog made by good persons to do that. It is somehow similar with Joel Spolsky but the worse thing is that sometimes it is flame-related blog. The power of the blog is anyway obvious, cause you will start believe that the person appear to you as being smart (cause knows so much things) and keep their oppinion as a true thing.

In rest, as any blog, OSNews permit to comment on it, but sometimes appears which is great, a response to it.

OSNews have give a lot of buzz about GNOME vs KDE, BeOS, AmigaOS and SkyOS (the great thing that the last one is really missing, both in desktop and in real life), and of course Vista.

The good thing is mostly the IBM-library knowledge links and some tutorials, but rarely happend.

In rest the overall impression is the starting one: OSNews is (sometimes) a blog

Sounds like I better put a condom on my mouse, and probably wait for marriage before twittering!

...what never existed in the first place. Sites like moddb.com existed well before (2002) the term "social web" was ever coined, and it's essentially the same as last.fm, but about games and mods.
